I'm a Stay-At-Home Mom who never stays home. I keep my kids busy, busy, busy and let them do pretty much any activity they want to do. You can find me coaching little league, cheering on the sidelines, wrestling and shaving 4-H hogs for the fair, and volunteering in classrooms. I do several different odd jobs from home as well, including free lance radio production (I've got a great voice), other voice work for phone systems, The Edge Magazine writer and ad sales, and some website work for a local radio station. I am always willing to help anyone out and I find myself cooking dinner and/or watching kids for friends in need all the time.
THE HEALTHY EDGE Found in THE EDGE MAGAZINE Uintah Basin, Utah
I am a contributing writer for The Edge Magazine, a homegrown, local publication for the area known as The Uintah Basin of Utah. That's located in the Northeastern corner of Utah (I like to describe it as the left armpit of Utah) consisting of the towns of Vernal and Roosevelt with alot of other small, rural areas all around as well.
The Healthy Edge is a "Biggest Loser" type contest, my co-horts and publishing goddesses, Editor in Chief Michelle and Layout Editor Christine, and I have come up with to help ourselves lose weight, get fit and healthy and promote a healthy lifestyle in our community.
We three will compete with each other under the rule of our personal trainer, Carl Parker, to lose weight, get fit and lead a much more healthy lifestyle.
The "winner" of the competition will win some prize. We don't know what that will be just yet, but we're thinking a shopping spree or a gift certificate to a local merchant's clothing shop.
Follow our blogs, support us, cheer us on, join us, and watch as we melt away the pounds and get healthy, fit and strong.
